A strategy is presented for provisioning, securely connecting, and operating applications and infrastructure in a multi-hybrid cloud environment. HashiCorp claims that efficient workflows can be achieved with a cloud operating model that uses an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach that can automate multi-cloud infrastructure.

HashiCorp, a cloud infrastructure automation software company, held the 'Korea HashiCorp Strategy Day' with MegaZone Cloud at COEX on the 17th, introducing a multi-hybrid cloud operation strategy that supports all applications and infrastructure and presenting actual customer cases.

In his welcoming speech, CEO Kim Jong-deok said, “HashiCorp has domestic references including LG U+ and SC First Bank as well as global cases,” and added, “We recognize the importance of the Korean market and will further expand the domestic market along with the NASDAQ IPO last December.”

“With the digital transformation, we are moving beyond mainframes, virtualization, private clouds, and public clouds to a multi-cloud environment,” said Executive Director Kim Jeong-hoon.

Executive Director Kim said, “All IT is based on APIs in the cloud, and the method of linking APIs is a code-based structure,” adding, “In a cloud environment with increased complexity, code enables tasks such as version management, upgrades, and adding new features.”

LG U+ adopted Terraform for reasons such as resource update updates, resolving initial and final infrastructure inconsistencies, and automating repetitive tasks. ■ Secret Management and Change Automation ‘VaultTM’

Vault sets effective 'secret policies' and provides automation for a more efficient authentication environment. This includes DB account management, cloud service account management, Kubernetes secret management, and TLS/PKI certificate management.

'Secret' means 'critical information that acts as a key to unlock protected information such as passwords and certificates.' Over the past 10 years, 20 companies have experienced large-scale data leaks worth over 1 billion won, and 90% of them are already using Vault.
