Sony has unveiled a save solution optimized for PS5 gameplay, attracting the attention of gamers enjoying PS5 games.

Western Digital, a global leader in storage solutions, and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) are introducing the WD_BLACK™ SN850 NVMe™ SSD for PS5™ Console.

This new product is the industry's first officially licensed PlayStation® M.2 SSD for PlayStation® 5 (PS5™), enabling the expansion of high-speed storage capacity for the PS5 console.

With this new product, verified through extreme PS5 gameplay testing, the two companies plan to provide gamers worldwide with a solution that allows them to confidently save their favorite latest game titles.

Western Digital verified the drive's performance through various scenarios to ensure that the new product had been sufficiently tested and proven for the PS5. Optimized for the latest PS5 console, the WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD for PS5 has undergone rigorous testing with hundreds of hours of high-end graphics games across various genres, enabling visually immersive, smooth, high-speed gameplay.

The new WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD for PS5 not only supports both PS5 and PS4 game saving and play, but also features an all-in-one design with a built-in heatsink for easy installation. Additionally, it offers read speeds of up to 7,000MB/s based on PCIe® Gen4 technology, which supports rapid game access, allowing gamers to focus more on gameplay with significantly reduced loading times.
