Keysight Technologies' notebook vendors are supporting the validation of Arm-based 5G personal computers running Windows on the Snapdragon® computing platform.

The Snapdragon computing platform, a multi-connectivity solution developed by Qualcomm, delivers superior performance in fanless notebooks that support advanced camera and audio capabilities and 5G connectivity.

Many Windows-based laptop vendors are leveraging Snapdragon computing platforms to deliver 5G mobile computing for cloud experiences that enhance productivity, efficiency, and connectivity.

Keysight said the solution will accelerate Qualcomm's validation of Snapdragon-based PCs across its design, development and manufacturing workflows.

Keysight provides vendors with Virtual Device System Architecture (VISA) library software for efficient communication between the device under test (DUT) and test equipment across all input/output (I/O) software layers.

Qualcomm is leveraging Keysight's test solutions with VISA software, along with the Qualcomm® Development Acceleration Resource Toolkit automation tools, to deliver Snapdragon 802.11b/g/n test solutions for Snapdragon 802.11b/g/n test solutions.Achieving interoperability development testing milestones for the Gon computing platform.

Qualcomm uses several Keysight solutions, along with VISA I/O Library software, to validate the performance of new chipset designs across multiple technologies, including 5G new radio (NR), 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WLAN, Bluetooth, and GPS. These solutions include the E7515B UXM 5G Wireless Test Platform, the E6680A/E Wireless Test Set, the M9415A VXT PXI Vector Transceiver, and the E6681A EXM-WB Wireless Test Set.
