Agilent Korea announces extreme environment probe solution for oscilloscopes usable across the industry's widest temperature range

Agilent Korea (CEO and President Yoon Deok-kwon) has launched an extreme environment probe solution for oscilloscopes that operates across the industry's widest temperature range. The N2797A single-ended active probe is the industry's first low-cost, high-input impedance active probe featuring a robust probe tip. This product is optimized for integrated circuit and device testing.
Many engineers need to test product performance in environments with varying temperatures, but conventional probes cannot withstand the extreme temperatures required for testing and suffer damage. Whether active or passive, most probes provide a specified operating range from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The Agilent N2797A can be used without damage across a much wider temperature range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius compared to conventional probes. Therefore, engineers can operate the probe pod and oscilloscope outside the chamber, while the probe head and probing accessories can be operated inside the environmental chamber.
To extend testing across a wider extreme temperature range, Agilent offers the N5450B InfiniiMax extreme temperature extension cable in addition to the InfiniiMax series differential probing system. When used with the Agilent N5381A differential solder-in probe head, the extension cable can operate across an industry-leading temperature range from -55 to 150 degrees Celsius. This represents the maximum temperature range required for automotive electronics component testing.
When precise and repeatable current measurement is required inside a chamber with varying temperature conditions, the high-sensitivity current probes—the 2-channel N2820A and 1-channel N2821A—can be an excellent choice for precision current measurement applications. When used with the customizable heads supplied with the N2820A/21A, industry-leading high-sensitivity current measurement is possible, and current can be measured in a range from a minimum of 50µA to a maximum of 5A at temperatures from -55 to 150 degrees Celsius.
