Introduction to the AI-Integrated OpenBlue Platform
Establishing goals for achieving sustainability and net zero

Kim Han-jun, CEO of Johnson Controls International Korea (hereinafter Johnson Controls Korea), shared efforts to build smart, safe, and sustainable buildings both domestically and internationally.

Johnson Controls Korea held a press conference on the 13th and announced its strategies and solutions for the 2023 fiscal year.

Newly appointed CEO Kim Han-jun expressed his ambition to solidify Johnson Controls Korea's position in the domestic building solutions market and increase its market share in 2023 by focusing on fundamental building technologies and proposing healthy building environments.

Johnson Controls has been supplying products and solutions in the domestic market for its HVAC, automatic control, security, fire protection, and service business divisions.

CEO Kim stated, “Johnson Controls Korea has accumulated over 55 years of experience in fire protection and disaster management, as well as over 20 years of experience and technology in building automation and refrigeration/air conditioning,” adding, “OT (Operational), which is the foundation of building solutions "We will solidify our position as a leader in building infrastructure faithful to technology," he said.

Since 2000, Johnson Controls Korea has supported sustainability, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction through the OpenBlue platform, which combines digital technologies such as AI, IoT, and machine learning with existing building solutions to create smart, safe, and sustainable buildings.

The OpenBlue platform consists of OpenBlue HealthyBuildings, which provides a smart working environment to meet the diverse needs of customers and the market; OpenBlue Net ZeroBuildings, which helps achieve carbon neutrality and renewable energy goals and optimizes building performance and cost reduction; and OpenBlue CentralizedUtilityPlant, which identifies building variables and optimizes building management systems.

Lee Jun-ho, Head of Sales, introduced OpenBlue solutions suitable for Korea through the cases of OpenBlue Enterprise Manager (OBEM) and Johnson Controls Integrated Disaster Management Platform (JSAM).

The OBEM solution is currently in use at the Microsoft Beijing Campus and monitors the convenience of building users, such as indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

JSAM is an integrated disaster control platform that links the most appropriate facilities for disaster situations and supports rapid response and evacuation according to the established Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) through the stages of collection, analysis, verification, resolution, and reporting.

Notably, the JSAM solution has been applied to Lotte World Tower and E-Mart buildings nationwide.

Johnson Controls Korea continuously presents building solutions tailored to the Korean market with solutions that meet the needs of domestic customers.We plan to optimize the building management system.
