Strengthening security systems and verifying compliance based on a secure environment

As automotive cyberattacks increase in frequency and severity, KMS Technologies and Pescaro are joining forces to ensure a safe driving environment for future vehicles.

Cybersecurity specialist KMS Technology announced on the 12th that it has signed an MOU with automotive cybersecurity company Pescaro to develop IT security verification software to ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards and respond to security threats, and to collaborate on open source license management.

In June 2020, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) legislated the Vehicle Cybersecurity Regulation (UNR155), strengthening standards in the global automotive security market by certifying cybersecurity management systems (CSMS) and vehicle type approval (VTA) compliance assessments.

The two companies will jointly provide solutions and services, including security vulnerability detection and analysis, software static inspection, and fuzzing testing, to help automotive software developers demonstrate compliance based on a robust security environment and strengthen their systems by complying with security inspection regulations.
