TI Korea (CEO Kent Chon, www.ti.com/ww/kr) January 8, 2014 – TI (CEO Kent Chon) showcased more than 30 new products and applications implemented with the DLP Pico™ chipset family at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2014 (CES 2014).

Visitors can experience innovative new products equipped with cutting-edge technology previously unimaginable at the TI Village (N116). Representative exhibits include the first battery-powered handheld HD projector, a projection-based interactive display that transforms everyday spaces into large touchscreens, an accessory head-up display (HUD) for navigation, wearable HD displays, and smartphones and tablets capable of projecting images 60 inches or larger. Visitors can directly experience these products by reserving meetings in advance.

While the product lineup is diverse, there is a clear common theme that encompasses all of them. The objective is to apply DLP technology to key form factors and deliver world-class image quality and efficiency at optimal screen sizes.

These advanced capabilities are supported by a broad ecosystem including optical engine ODMs (original design manufacturers) and systems integration providers. ODMs provide commercial solutions for complex high-integration designs, reducing development cycles from several years to several months, while also offering customized solutions optimized to meet specific requirements for size, power, and brightness.

On TI.com, we provide display controller datasheets, online forums, and links to ODMs. In 2014, chipsets, datasheets, application notes, and evaluation modules will be added.

Currently available display controllers include the DLPC2607 controller supporting .2nHD, .24VGA, and .3WVGA DLP Pico chips, and the DLPC6401 controller supporting .45WXGA chips.
