Schneider Electric Korea presented a smart sensor solution to prevent industrial fires, including recent fire accidents at manufacturing and logistics facilities.

Schneider announced that its 'PowerLogic HeatTag' can prevent various fires used in industrial sites.

According to the European Fire Academy, 25% of building fires are caused by electrical faults. Electrical accidents occurring in electrical distribution panels are caused by overheating of damaged insulators.

PowerLogic HeatTag is a smart sensor that provides early detection of smoke or overheating of insulation in distribution panels.

Schneider said the system can establish a baseline for fire and abnormal situation detection within about nine hours after installation.

It also measures ambient temperature and humidity, analyzes gases and particles generated from insulators inside the distribution panel in real time, and analyzes the internal environment of the distribution panel in real time through AI algorithms. If a problem occurs, an alarm is sent to the manager via email or SMS, and the operator checks it and takes action.

Meanwhile, Schneider announced that the product has received its Green Premium certification, demonstrating compliance with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances and Substances of Very High Concern directive. Furthermore, at the end of its lifespan, the product can be disassembled using the disposal manual, and some parts can be recycled or disposed of.
