Hong Kong, January 7, 2014 – Altera Corporation (Nasdaq: ALTR) announced today that it has been awarded the Best Technical Support Award by ZTE. Altera received the award from the telecommunications leader ZTE at the Supplier Day event recently held in Shenzhen, China. Through this annual event, ZTE recognizes and awards the key roles played by suppliers that have contributed to its growth as one of the world's leading innovators in the telecommunications equipment and networking industries.

ZTE Vice President Zeng Zhaoxiang explained, "ZTE and Altera have maintained a long-standing partnership, and ZTE relies on Altera for technical support to deliver the best results to customers, as well as for providing solutions and power solutions based on Altera's 28nm portfolio. Altera technologies, including FPGAs, CPLDs, and power products, are incorporated into ZTE's wireless, wired, and cloud computing products. ZTE's telecommunications equipment is used by the world's largest service providers.
