Creaform explained its new products and design intentions to Korean users, stating that it plans to target the market by creating scanners tailored to the Korean market based on extensive feedback.

Creaform held the '2022 Creaform Korea User Meeting' at the Yangjae El Tower on September 29, unveiled the peel 3 and SILVER Series Elite models, and conveyed the importance of the Korean market.

Creaform is a company that continuously develops, manufactures, and sells advanced 3D portable and automated measurement technologies that provide innovative solutions for applications such as 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and non-destructive testing.

Kim Gun-ah, Head of the Creaform Business Division, cited the consistent release of products centered on convenience and practicality as Creaform's greatest strength.

While conventional 3D scanners have a long life cycle, Creaform lasts 20 years Over 35 new products were launched during that period.

Creaform explained that it was able to keep up with market trends with various new products by emphasizing 'customer collaboration' and actively reflecting customer opinions.

The two products unveiled by Creaform at the event were two new scanners added to the HandySCAN 3D SILVER series, peel 3, and peel 3 CAD.

SILVER products enable excellent data acquisition on complex and highly reflective part surfaces through improvements to existing red lasers, and possess a resolution and accuracy of up to 0.030 mm.

It is considered suitable for companies or individuals who want to use Creaform products but do not have a large budget.

peel 3 and peel 3. CAD is a new product from peel 3D, a subsidiary of Creaform.

Peel 3D is contributing to the popularization of innovative technology by lowering the entry barrier to scanning technology.

Peel 3 and Peel 3.CAD have expanded the scope of scanning tasks through an improved ergonomic design and an intuitive, multi-functional touchscreen interface compared to existing scanners.

In particular, by applying a haptic user interface utilizing vibration functions for the first time in the industry, high-quality scan data can be easily obtained regardless of the user's skill level.

Manager Kim said, “Changing the price positioning itself is a major innovation,” adding, “Since Peel 3 has upgraded the platform itself, we expect a prosumer market to open up where ordinary people can use it like experts.”

In response to a question about strategies for targeting the Korean market, General Manager Kim Gun-ah stated, “The global 3D scanner market is growing by more than 10%, and Korea is expected to grow by about double that amount,” adding, “We will incorporate a lot of feedback until a Korean-style scanner is released to create a scanner suited for the Korean market and target the market.”
