Freenew and Vessel Aerospace are joining hands to advance future mobility.

Freenew (CEO Jong-kyung Lee) announced that it signed a business agreement with Vessel Aerospace (CEO Chi-boong Kim) for 'advancing core technologies for future mobility' at the '2022 K-UAM Confex' held at Paradise Hotel in Incheon from the 9th to the 12th.

Through this business agreement, the two companies will share Vessel Aerospace's experience in developing the KLA-100 lightweight aircraft and various other projects, and Freenew's technological prowess in developing drones and core components.

Freenew is developing various unmanned aerial vehicles, including the rotary-wing drone RUEPEL-E10, the multicopter drone PANDION series, and the fixed-wing vertical takeoff and landing drone MILVUS, as well as core drone-specific components, such as the KCMVP and data link (D-DL) dedicated to drone wireless communication, using purely domestic technology. Through the Dronit service platform, we provide autonomous flight and mission performance reporting services across various industries.

Vessel Aerospace, with its airframe development capabilities utilizing carbon composites, is currently responsible for the airframe portion of the OPPAV (Operating Personal Aircraft Vehicle) project, providing design, manufacturing, assembly, and test support.

Meanwhile, Freenew has been awarded a contract for a rapid research and development project for a multi-purpose reconnaissance drone from the Defense Industry Technology Support Center this year, and has supplied the electric unmanned helicopter Lupel E to the Korea Coast Guard for use on patrol vessels.
