TI Korea (CEO Kent Chon, www.ti.com/ww/kr) February 7, 2014 – TI Korea (CEO Kent Chon) announced the launch of the industry's smallest 12V, 750mA DC/DC power regulator.
The new SIMPLE SWITCHER® regulator offers miniaturized nano packaging and high performance, making it suitable for high power density and space-constrained applications across diverse markets including consumer electronics, industrial, and automotive. This latest nano power regulator integrates numerous functions in a 2.56mm² package, enabling developers to easily design power supplies perfectly tailored to their systems. TI's award-winning WEBENCH® online design tool further simplifies the design process and reduces time-to-market.
The 750mA LMR22007 switching regulator features a built-in low-current mode function that maintains high efficiency even under light-load conditions. Additionally, the LMR22007's control architecture is designed to deliver fast transient response performance and excellent regulation characteristics even with variable input and output conditions. This device can supply continuous load currents up to 750mA, and its input current limit can be set to prevent excessive inrush current at startup, protecting the source power supply. A fully integrated 12V VIN-to-VOUT LMR22007 power supply design requires only 3 external components and occupies less than 30mm² of board space.
The LMR22007 is the latest addition to the SIMPLE SWITCHER product family. TI's SIMPLE SWITCHER power regulator product family includes over 50 devices offering current ratings from 100mA to 5A for application designs across a wide input voltage range.
