Keysight Technologies' 5G test solutions enable MediaTek to expand its reach into the broader IoT market and accelerate deployment of advanced 5G capabilities.

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced today that it has validated 5G chip connectivity based on the 3GPP 5G Release 17 (Rel-17) and 5G RedCap (Reduced Capacity Simplified Standard) specifications using MediaTek and Keysight's 5G network emulation solutions.

MediaTek has confirmed 5G Rel-17 data calls on its Dimensity 5G chipset, accelerating the deployment of new Rel-17 5G features, including reduced power consumption and enhanced MIMO capabilities.

Keysight's network emulation platform also enables verification of RedCap connectivity on 5G chips. The 5G RedCap specification introduces support for wireless devices with reduced 5G capabilities. These devices can support new use cases such as industrial sensors and wearables due to their reduced complexity, cost, and power consumption.

Keysight's 5G wireless network emulator and device test solutions support the entire mobile device ecosystem, accelerating time to market for new wireless devices by streamlining workflows from early prototype, deployment, and design verification to conformance, carrier acceptance, and high-volume manufacturing.
