Supply of aluminum sheet for interior and exterior of Genesis and electric vehicle models
Applied to major parts such as doors and trunks and battery pack cases

Novelis has become the first aluminum sheet supplier to be selected as Hyundai Motor Group's Supplier of the Year.

Novelis announced that it received the '2022 Partner of the Year (Raw Materials Division)' award at Hyundai Motor Group's 'Partnership Day' held on February 3.

Hyundai Motor Group selected Novelis as the winner in the raw materials category among steel and aluminum sheet suppliers after comprehensively evaluating its stable supply, excellent quality, and technical support.

Novelis produces aluminum sheet for automotive applications at its state-of-the-art aluminum rolling facility in Ulsan, and supplies aluminum sheet for the interior and exterior of Hyundai Motor Group’s Genesis and electric vehicle models.

Novelis' high-strength, high-formability, lightweight aluminum solutions can be applied to key components such as hoods, doors, and trunks, as well as vehicle bodies and electric vehicle battery pack cases.

Once the recycling center, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of low-carbon aluminum sheet ingots, is operational, Novelis’ carbon emissions are expected to be reduced by more than 420,000 tons per year.
