Barcelona, Spain – February 24, 2014 – Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OSE: NOD), an ultra-low power (ULP) RF specialist, with Korean branch manager Choi Su-chul, (www.nordicsemi.com), announced that it will showcase a variety of products and demonstrations together with partner companies at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014. (Booth: Hall 6, Stand 6H20) MWC is the world's largest exhibition in the mobile industry sector, organized by GSMA (GSM Association), and will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 24 to 27, 2014.

At this exhibition, Nordic will present the theme "Nordic with You, Anytime, Anywhere," showcasing cases where companies worldwide are rapidly adopting its nRF51 series Bluetooth® Low Energy and ANT+ solutions in various products. Some of these design partner companies will showcase innovative "Appcessories" based on the nRF51 series multi-protocol SoC (System-on-Chip) at this exhibition.

Bluetooth Low Energy (supplied to consumers as Bluetooth Smart) and ANT+ are rapidly expanding for short-range wireless connections between small coin-cell battery-based wireless accessories and mobile device "hubs" equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 version technology (Bluetooth Smart Ready) or ANT+ technology that support related software applications (apps) to implement these appcessories.
