Karlsruhe (Germany) February 24, 2014 – The MOST® Cooperation, a standardization body established to promote MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport), an automotive multimedia networking technology, has announced the program for the MOST Forum Conference to be held in Esslingen, Stuttgart, Germany on May 13, 2014. Ganesh Moorthy, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Microchip Technology, one of the companies leading the core technologies of MOST, will present Microchip's MOST vehicle networking strategy in the keynote address. Microchip is deeply involved in the advancement of leading automotive network technologies. Beyond next-generation gigabit-level speeds, MOST capabilities will generally be defined within the broader concept of automotive networking. The conference and accompanying exhibition provide a venue for information exchange and communication among researchers, designers, engineers, system developers, purchasers and managers, as well as experts from the automotive electronics industry and academia including media representatives.
Henry Muyshondt, Executive Director of MOST Cooperation, will guide the program following the conference opening remarks and welcome address. Following the keynote address by Microchip Technology, presentations by AutoNetworks Technologies, TE Connectivity, and Ultra Communications will introduce solutions and scenarios for future MOST physical layer (PHY). K2L and Ruetz System Solutions will present aspects of compliance and quality. During lunch and break times, all attendees and presenters can visit the exhibition space to learn about MOST solutions and implementation available in new vehicle models. In the afternoon, the Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI), Microchip Technology, MOST Cooperation, and Quanta Storage will focus on presenting MOST network and system architecture.
Following the afternoon discussion and exhibition visit, Daimler and Microchip will conclude the conference program by continuing to present on network and system architecture aspects, including the introduction of MOST150 in the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicle and the future of MOST as a standard for in-vehicle communication.
Within the exhibition space, various companies will showcase innovative MOST solutions and applications. Exhibitors include MOST Cooperation, Audi AG, Daimler AG, Hamamatsu Photonics, K2L, Microchip Technology, Ruetz System Solutions, Tektronix, Teledyne LeCroy, Telemotive, TTTech Automotive, and Vector. Additionally, several partner companies at the MOST Forum will provide their knowledge and expertise.
