Mouser Electronics, the leader in New Product Introductions (NPIs) that enable innovation™, announced its sponsorship of the 21st annual Create the Future design contest, challenging engineers and innovators around the world to design the great products of the future.

Mouser has sponsored this contest for several years, and its key manufacturing partners Intel® and Analog Devices (ADI) are returning to support the event.

This contest is hosted by SAE Media Group, part of SAE International Company. COMSOL is also a major sponsor of the contest.

This contest is currently accepting entries until July 1, 2023.

The grand prize winner of this contest will not only gain global recognition but also receive $25,000 to develop innovative products that benefit society and the economy. Previous contests have attracted engineers, entrepreneurs, and students from over 100 countries, submitting over 15,000 design ideas.

The Create the Future design contest focuses on product designs that enhance the quality of life, improve the quality of healthcare, and provide sustainable solutions. Reflecting this, previous grand prize winners include: a biodegradable plastic; a compact, standalone device capable of transporting body organs and limbs; and an economical and fast food sorter to prevent food poisoning.

This contest, held since 2002 by the editors of Tech Briefs magazine, aims to encourage and reward engineering innovation. Winners are selected in seven categories: Aerospace & Defense, Automotive/Public Transportation, Consumer Electronics, Electronics/Sensors/IoT, Manufacturing/Automation/Robotics, Healthcare, and Sustainable Technology/Future Energy.
