NHN Cloud provides a full stack from data centers to platforms and services. As AI solutions, it exhibited AI facial recognition, text extraction 'OCR (Optical Character Recognition)', and speech-to-text conversion 'TTS·STT (Text to Speech·Speech to Text)'.

NHN also gained popularity by operating an AI photo studio at its booth that takes photos of visitors' faces and converts and prints them into AI characters.

CE Lab was established in 2010 and introduced AI video analysis services and solutions. At the exhibition, it showcased the Kubernetes-based AI standard platform 'Uyuni', the cloud-based video analysis service 'Vidigo', the synthetic data solution 'X-GEN', the video data processing solution 'X-labeller', and the AI video analysis platform 'X-AIVA'.

Maum AI, an AI platform company formerly known as Minds Lab, demonstrated platforms and services specialized in key AI engines, including AI Human. Leading the development of services incorporating GPT, the company provides customized AI services to customers in the form of APIs. By offering AI implementation capabilities in stages through its 'Maum Orchestra' platform, it contributes to revitalizing the domestic AI solution market.

In addition, DeepBrain AI demonstrated that communication beyond AI humans is possible by linking ChatGPT to an AI kiosk, and Cloukers attracted the interest of visitors by exhibiting game NPCs created with ChatGPT. Pure Storage introduced a single out-storage platform as a smart infrastructure solution for AI.

Intel introduced the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, which support AI, data analytics, and high-performance computing. Emphasizing efficient CPU utilization and low cloud power consumption through built-in accelerators and software optimization, it presents an end-to-end big data analytics solution for enterprises.

■ Intel Presents Strategy for AI Technology Ecosystem

Intel Vice President Lee Ju-seok presented on the technology strategy for implementing AI semiconductors during the 'BigBang of AI' session of the main conference on that day.

Vice President Lee argued, “As the specialized AI semiconductor market expands due to the massive volume of data following the advent of the AI era, AI technology requires the complex interconnection of all processes—including CPUs, networks, I/O, and memory—for data collection and processing, in addition to GPUs.”

As the government spares no active investment in AI semiconductor development, the domestic market for AI-specialized semiconductors is also expanding. Intel is continuously advancing its semiconductor process technology to integrate AI with semiconductor technology. As a company possessing both SW and HW solutions, along with packaging technology and domain knowledge for AI semiconductor development, we proactively respond to the era of AI semiconductors.

In particular, Intel identifies increasing CPU efficiency, which accounts for more than 70% of the AI data training and processing process, as a key factor. FPGAs also play an important role. As programmable semiconductors, FPGAs enable the entire process of applying model-specific functions.

Intel supports the development of AI services by providing a deep learning development toolkit with 'Intel OpenVINO'. It refines the end-to-end process by integrating and optimizing various models during the development of AI algorithms.

Park Geun-han, Head of NHN Cloud, gave a presentation on AI services in the cloud and generative AI.

NHN Cloud, which has a data center in Pangyo, is currently establishing a national AI data center in Gwangju. NHN Cloud provides technology that implements customers' business requirements using AI in a cloud format. It implements computer vision, natural language processing, and speech processing on an AI platform.

In the presentation, NHN Cloud introduced AI services in various industries as cloud-based AI services, such as game AI, avatar AI, 3D modeling, speech synthesis, machine translation, healthcare including virtual fitting rooms and pregnancy test AI, smart manufacturing AI including factory equipment and batch optimization, and financial AI including chatbots.

NHN Cloud provides the entire development process, including development environments, training, fine-tuning, modeling, and ML, through 'AI Easy Maker'. Developers can create applications using APIs by receiving consoles and SDKs as SaaS services in the cloud.

While the definition of AI remains unchanged, the perception of AI is evolving with the times. Currently, AI is being developed in a direction that effectively analyzes data to identify rules suited to specific purposes.

For example, among various AI models, recent deep learning models are data-driven prediction modules. ChatGPT, which provides answers by judging data into probability values, is essentially a conversational fine-tuning version. Recently, technology that generates images by training vast amounts of data using the text-to-image AI model Stable Diffusion has been gaining great popularity.
