MOIA aims to automate passenger interactions through cutting-edge technology

MOIA, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, is applying Apex.AI’s technology to its passenger management system that acts as a co-driver for autonomous mobility services.

MOIA, a ride-sharing service company, announced on the 26th that it has adopted Apex.AI’s software expertise for safe future autonomous mobility.

MOIA, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, is using Apex.AI’s operating system to develop its own passenger management system for its autonomous vehicle, the ID.Buzz AD.

Through this collaboration, MOIA plans to deploy cutting-edge technology that will enable most interactions with passengers to be digitally automated.

Furthermore, this collaboration is expected to play a key role in MOIA's goal of developing an 'Autonomous Driving-Mobility as a Service (AD-MaaS)' system in collaboration with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and launching an integrated ride-sharing system on Hamburg's roads from 2025.

MOIA has been working with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles since 2021 to develop and test autonomous ride-sharing services for the general public, and will launch them in Hamburg, Germany in 2025.We plan to open a business.

This system is integrated into the vehicle and has access to the safety monitoring system inside the vehicle, and can replace the opening and closing of the vehicle doors or control various auxiliary functions inside the vehicle when necessary to ensure comfortable and safe vehicle use by passengers.

Apex.AI has extensive knowledge in developing operating systems for autonomous vehicles and in robotics and AI, while MOIA has a differentiated competitive edge through its own software development experience.

Apex.AI’s agile, reproducible SDK is expected to significantly accelerate the development of MOIA’s passenger management software solution.
