Agilent Korea (CEO and President Yoon Duk-kwon) has launched the E7515A UXM wireless test set, a highly integrated signaling test set developed to verify the functions and RF designs required in 4G and beyond environments. UXM provides extensive capabilities to test the latest wireless device designs. It currently supports LTE-Advanced category 6 and will provide processing for more complex test cases in the future.

UXM enables realistic verification of bidirectional Category 6 performance with stable 300-Mbps downlink throughput in the design verification of LTE and LTE-A chipsets and user products. Engineers can extract data for new designs through flexible receiver testing and reliable transmitter measurements. More in-depth functional testing can be performed through UXM's extensive network emulator capabilities, which support complex handover scenarios and VoLTE. In addition, UXM ensures even higher reliability for RF performance through flexible automated testing and industry-recognized Agilent X-Series measurement technology.

To support the design of evolving wireless devices, the UXM’s future-oriented architecture is configured to handle next-generation antenna technologies, component carriers (CC), and data rates. By combining two independent 100-MHz RF transceivers, the UXM supports multiple cells, carrier aggregation (CA), up to 4x2 MIMO, and integrated fading. Additionally, the UXM provides a built-in server for a wide range of functional test applications. The UXM supports a scalable architecture consisting of an upgradeable processor, multiple expansion slots, and high-speed interconnects, enabling it to evolve with technological changes in devices.

It also features a touchscreen that provides a new yet familiar interface based on popular Agilent solutions, allowing for quick connection and use. Test teams can utilize existing test libraries through backward-compatible SCPI commands.

UXM is Agilent's next-generation wireless test set, along with the recently released E6640A EXM. For mass production of cellular and wireless connectivity devices, EXM provides the best scalability in performance and technology, including LTE-Advanced and 802.11ac, which feature MIMO.

EXM can be configured with up to 4 independent transmit/receive channels, each containing 4 RF ports (2 full-duplex, 2 half-duplex). To ensure greater scalability and port density, the EXM can be customized to connect up to 32 devices for high-speed sequential and non-signaling parallel testing. As production requirements change, users can modify the EXM to configure a suitable test station, enabling them to keep pace with next-generation devices and standards at the lowest possible test cost.
