Synology has announced new hard drives for NAS optimized for home and office systems.

Synology announced on the 2nd that it has launched the Plus Series SATA HDD, which is specially designed to meet the reliability, durability, and performance requirements of storage for 24/7 operation in Synology entry-level and mainstream systems.

Looking at the key features of the Synology Plus series HDD, it offers up to three times higher performance than the durability rating of conventional desktop hard drives, with a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of one million hours and a workload rating of 180TB per year.

It ensures smooth operation even under multi-user workloads through over 300,000 hours of rigorous compatibility and stress testing.

Users can update drives directly from Synology's DiskStation Manager (DSM), so there is no need to remove the drive and perform a manual update.

Customers can contact Synology directly through their Synology account to receive technical support and process returns.

The Plus series HDDs are available in 4TB, 6TB, 8TB, and 12TB models to suit various storage needs and budgets.
