Adding AUTOSARv4.4.0 Support to Existing AUTOSARv4.2.2 MCAL
ASIL-D Compliant MCAL Software to be Provided to Support OEM Software Development
Infineon announced on the 13th that it is expanding the MCAL for AURIX™ TC3xx products by adding AUTOSARv4.4.0 support to the existing AUTOSARv4.2.2 MCAL.
This is expected to facilitate software development for OEM manufacturers, and MCAL software that satisfies ASIL-D will also be provided for ASIL D applications.
Additionally, the upcoming Maintenance Release 2.25.0 will include software products that meet ASIL D.
Support for IEC 61508 SIL-2 is scheduled to be provided in Release 2.30.0.
These latest releases target AUTOSAR applications in vehicles such as △engine △chassis △safety △body as well as △commercial/agricultural vehicles (CAV) △industrial applications △maritime applications.
Infineon cited the greatest advantage of MC-ISAR AS440 EXT TC3xx as not requiring additional drivers to meet ASIL D.
Since software drivers can be executed in the ASIL D domain, it facilitates software partitioning and provides greater flexibility, simplifying system-level security implementation.
Developers can prevent system defects by performing development work using production software drivers that meet ASIL D and have obtained functional safety certification.
Additionally, this driver supports ISO 21434 for continuous monitoring and provides additional services and support for developers through Infineon's partner companies.
The software package includes AUTOSAR BFX and CRC libraries and meets ASIL D development processes for ASPICE L2 and FFI.

TI Unveils Multi-Axis Coreless Current Sensor TMCS2100-Q1 for HEV/EV Traction Inverters
Texas Instruments has unveiled the TMCS2100-Q1, a multi-axis coreless Hall-effect current sensor for HEV and EV traction inverters. By simultaneously measuring horizontal and vertical magnetic fields through multi-axis sensing technology, it achieves up to 20 times higher accuracy compared to conventional single-axis sensors, while the busbar-unmodified design provides mechanical design flexibility.
