NI Expands NI FlexRIO Family with Release of 6 New I/O Modules
Includes Analog Devices' industry-fastest 16-bit converter
National Instruments announced the expansion of its NI FlexRIO product line by releasing six new adapter modules featuring FPGA-based reconfigurable I/O. The NI FlexRIO family is the industry's first commercial solution to bring the flexibility of NI LabVIEW FPGA technology and high-speed, user-configurable I/O to the PXI platform. The newly released adapter modules include four general-purpose digitizers, modules for high-speed digital I/O, and the industry's fastest 16-bit ADC optimized for modulation communications.

Combining Analog Devices’ high sample rates and resolution with the reconfigurable I/O of NI FlexRIO provides unprecedented flexibility when deploying algorithms to acquisition hardware, prototyping communication systems, and implementing high-performance measurements.”
All NI FlexRIO solutions consist of two separate hardware components: an I/O adapter module and a PXI-based NI FlexRIO FPGA module, which is characterized by being a Xilinx Virtex-class FPGA. With 15 different NI FlexRIO adapter modules, you can directly interface with FPGAs and various I/O for measurement applications that require real-time performance, low-latency processing, and reconfigurable operation.
The six new adapter modules have the following features.
NI 5762: 16-bit, 250 MS/s digitizer (equipped with Analog Devices AD9467 ADC)
NI 6587: 16-Channel, 1Gb/s Digital I/O Module for High-Speed LVDS Interface
NI 5731: 12-bit, 40 MS/s General Purpose Digitizer Adapter Module (General SFDR improved over -87 dbc)
NI 5732: 14-bit, 80 MS/s General Purpose Digitizer Adapter Module (General SFDR improved beyond 69dB)
NI 5733: 16-bit, 120 MS/s high-resolution digitizer adapter module (37 MHz anti-aliasing bandwidth)
NI 5734: 16-bit, 120 MS/s, 4-channel, high-resolution digitizer adapter module
In addition, the modules are new NI FL, LabVIEW host and FPGA code packages designed to provide instrument-visible functions and related host APIs, such as acquisition engines, DRAM interfaces, and trigger logic.
