Dassault Systèmes hosted 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024 to share the latest design and manufacturing trends.

Dassault Systèmes announced that it will hold '3D Experience World 2024', an annual event for the 3D Experience Works and SolidWorks communities, in Dallas, Texas, USA for four days from the 11th (local time) to the 14th.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the event brought together over 5,000 SolidWorks users, global business leaders, makers, entrepreneurs, and students. Through panel presentations, technical and educational sessions, and networking, we will share topics ranging from AI and digital transformation to collaborative innovation and virtual twins.

Through 295 workshops and technical training sessions, as well as breakout sessions for design, simulation, manufacturing, data management, and community, we will share the top 10 enhancements requested by SOLIDWORKS users, as well as technology trends and future development directions for 2024.

SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS said they “enable innovators around the world to collaborate, amplify individual innovation, and share meaningful goals and visions that contribute to job creation and a healthy, sustainable economy.”

This year's 3DEXPERIENCE World will focus specifically on ways to achieve 'sustainability' and how 3DEXPERIENCEWORKS can help create a better world by imagining and redesigning products, processes, and business models.

Keynote speakers included entrepreneur Lonnie Johnson, Aneesa Muthana, CEO and owner of Pioneer Services and a manufacturing, processing and environmental expert, and Paddy Lowe, founder and CEO of Zero, a fossil-free synthetic fuel company and former Formula 1 engineer and executive.

Bernard Charlès, President and CEO of Dassault Systèmes, will provide insight into global trends and their impact. Gian Paolo Bassi, CEO of Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks, and Executive Vice President of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Works, will present updates to Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE Works.

Various customer cases are also being discussed. Customer examples include Arthur Bus, which manufactures cutting-edge zero-emission buses for a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future; Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), a German company active in measurement, IT, and wireless communications; and Endiatx, which developed the PillBot, an easy-to-swallow pill-shaped digestive imaging robot.

A variety of programs are also planned for students and startups. The "AI and Hardware Innovation Showcase," a startup competition, will be held, and the "Edu Zone" will showcase model race cars, rockets, and airplanes designed by various university teams using SolidWorks, along with an immersive virtual reality city. The 3D Experience Playground will showcase a variety of products, including robotics and CNC machines, that are defining the future of manufacturing on the shop floor.
