TI Korea (CEO Kent Chon, www.ti.com/ww/kr ) August 5, 2014 – TI (CEO Kent Chon) announced that shipments of its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) System-on-Chip (SoC) devices have surpassed 15 million units. This reaffirms TI's dominance in the automotive market. This solution from TI is currently in production for over 100 vehicles from more than 25 manufacturers, contributing to reduced collisions on the road and enabling a more autonomous driving experience. This scalable solution from TI provides a common hardware and software architecture for camera-based front (mono and stereo), rear, surround view, and night vision applications, as well as mid-range and long-range radar and sensor fusion systems. This enables reusability, accelerates time-to-market, and lowers costs. Based on over 30 years of experience and expertise in signal processing, safety, and automotive, TI has developed the TDAx SoC processor family, enabling customers to accelerate innovation and differentiation in ADAS applications.
Based on a recent analysis of the ADAS market, market research firm Frost & Sullivan selected TI as the winner of the '2014 Product Leadership Award' in the ADAS semiconductor solutions category. By developing the TDA2x automotive SoC family using innovative Vision AccelerationPac technology, TI enabled customers to develop next-generation ADAS solutions. Frost & Sullivan also demonstrated that this product family is an overall outstanding solution by giving the TDA2x the highest scores in vision alignment, process design, and technical sophistication.
Unlike other solutions currently on the market, TDA2x is an open platform that enables the flexibility for customers to add their own unique strengths.
