Microchip Announces Fifth Korea Masters Conference and Opens Registration – Premier Technical Training Event for Embedded Control Engineers
Seoul, August 14, 2014 – Microchip Technology (Korea Representative: Han Byung-don), a global leader in microcontrollers, analog semiconductors, and flash-IP solutions, announced the hosting of the Fifth Korea Masters Conference (MASTERs) and has opened registration for participation.
This conference is an annual event marking its fifth edition since its inaugural launch in 2010, and will be held from October 28-29 at Gongziam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. The Masters Conference, which began in the United States in 1997, is the premier global annual technical training event for embedded control engineers and is currently being held in eight countries worldwide. The Korea Masters Conference serves as a valuable resource for application design with Microchip products, where development engineers can share technical information on Microchip's 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit PIC® microcontrollers, high-performance analog and interface solutions, dsPIC® digital signal controllers, wireless and mTouch® sensing solutions, memory products, and the MPLAB® development system which includes the industry's only single standard IDE supporting all 8, 16, and 32-bit microcontroller portfolios from Microchip. Through this Korea Masters Conference, in-depth discussions and bidirectional information exchange are expected to take place among technical partners including Microchip technology experts, customers, distributor engineers, and design partners.
The 2014 Microchip Korea Masters Conference will offer a broader range of courses reflecting the diverse requirements of software and hardware design engineers and engineering managers. A total of 16 courses, including 8 hands-on practical sessions, will be provided, allowing participants to learn in greater detail about specific applications while using development tools and writing code in the classroom. Segmented level-specific elective courses will be offered to accommodate everyone from experienced engineers to novice engineers with little knowledge of technical concepts and fundamental principles.
The Microchip Korea Masters will cover sessions including ▲ USB, CAN, onboard diagnostics (automotive networking), and wireless (Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi®) connectivity ▲ lighting protocols (DMX512 and DALI) ▲ universal USB charging ▲ MPLAB® Harmony ▲ MPLAB® Code Configurator (MCC) ▲ latest core independent peripherals for 8-bit MCUs ▲ cost-effective Bluetooth audio applications ▲ Bluetooth Low Energy/Smart applications ▲ Supertex LED driver design guidelines, and covers the broad spectrum of electronics engineering topics.

Additionally, networking sessions will be arranged for discussions on relevant design topics between partner companies and attendees, as well as opportunities to meet with partner development tool experts. The venue will also operate 20 exhibition booths providing useful information on Microchip's products and solutions as well as channel partners' applications and demo boards. These booths provide attendees with an opportunity to experience the exhibits between training sessions and expand their understanding of Microchip and partner company products. Special activities will also be conducted during the evening to ensure participants enjoy a comfortable and entertaining time, including robot racing, electronic darts, Bluetooth micro cars, ring toss, mini basketball games, and table soccer.
