The LT3697 utilizes a high-efficiency power switch with essential oscillator, control, and cable compensation circuits integrated on a single chip. The internal cable compensation function can be programmed to match cable length and diameter. Dual input feedback implements an additional level of protection during error conditions, providing enhanced protection for USB devices. Other features include FLT flag, short-circuit, and thermal shutdown protection.

The LT3697EMSE is supplied in a thermally enhanced MSOP-16 package at $2.75 per unit. The LT3697IMSE is the industrial temperature version, tested and qualified with junction temperature operation over –40°C to 125°C range, priced at $3.03 per unit.
