Sky Autonet, a leading automotive safety technology company, announced on the 18th that it will officially announce its innovative pedal misoperation prevention technology, 'Dr.Safe', at the KES 2024 Korea Electronics Show, which will be held at COEX from Tuesday, October 22nd to Friday, October 25th.

Dr.Safe is a cutting-edge technology that prevents accidents caused by unintended acceleration, and is attracting attention as a key solution for the safety of elderly drivers in particular.

Sky Autonet began developing pedal misoperation suppression technology in 2022 and has proven its performance through more than two years of rigorous testing and verification.

Its high stability has been confirmed not only in Hyundai Motor Company and KIA passenger cars, but also in domestic electric vehicles and electric buses, and it currently holds multiple patents, including two key patents.

Dr.Safe's core function is to sound an alarm when the driver accidentally steps on the accelerator pedal, while automatically slowing down the vehicle to prevent an accident.

It effectively ensures safety in various situations, especially when driving at low speeds, parking, or encountering sudden pedestrians or pets. This feature is considered a useful safety device for all drivers, not just elderly drivers.

As an overseas example, Japan's Spocar project is attracting global attention.

Japan commercialized a pedal misoperation suppression device to address the increasing number of accidents caused by sudden acceleration by older drivers due to the aging population, which has raised awareness of the need for this technology worldwide.

Reflecting this global trend, Sky Autonet plans to expand beyond the domestic market to the global market through Dr.Safe.
