DCIM Project Team Key Personnel Announcement
November 18, 2014 – Emerson Network Power announced key personnel changes to strengthen its Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) business in the Asia-Pacific region. These personnel changes are part of Emerson's ongoing efforts to provide customers with the best DCIM solutions and services.
Emerson recently promoted Wesley Lim to Director of the DCIM business for the Asia-Pacific region. Director Lim will oversee the entire DCIM business, including sales development, pre-sales support, and professional services, in the Asian market, which encompasses North Asia (including Korea), Australia/New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, Director Lim will report directly to Gene Hayden, Vice President and General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Emerson Network Power Asia-Pacific.
Director Lim stated, “With the rapid rise of cloud, big data, enterprise mobility, and SDN (Software Defined Network) solutions, there has been an increase in potential customers deeply considering DCIM strategies—such as infrastructure access and control, data center monitoring, or data center optimization—along with process automation plans to maximize ROI.” He added, “In light of this situation, Emerson will expand its DCIM business as part of its channel go-to-market strategy and will continue to invest to enable channel ecosystem partners to deliver value and technology to customers.”
Meanwhile, Director Kenny Khow has been appointed to lead the newly organized DCIM Professional Services team in the Asia-Pacific region. Khow will be tasked with establishing a professional services organization that includes not only tool development but also process mapping and development, and resource management, to ensure the success of the DCIM Professional Services business. In particular, he will be responsible for business and portfolio development, delivery, and project escalation management to meet customer expectations. Cow will report directly to Rim.
Regarding the personnel appointment, Vice President Gene Hayden stated, “2014 is a very encouraging year for the DCIM sector. We have actively promoted the DCIM solution business in the Asia-Pacific region and successfully executed DCIM projects for key clients. Based on the leadership of Director Wesley Lim, who is at the forefront of the DCIM business in the Asia-Pacific region, I am confident that Emerson will further strengthen its position as a global industry leader in DCIM, a data center infrastructure management solution.”
Vice President Hayden added, “According to a recent survey conducted by Emerson Network Power, DCIM is expected to play a significant role by 2025. Therefore, we view now as the right time to strengthen the DCIM team and believe we can provide industry-leading solutions to all industries.”
