SanDisk Korea – Green Umbrella Children's Foundation Hansarang Disabled Infant Center, Sponsorship and Volunteer Agreement for Disabled Infant Development Support

November 25, 2014, Seoul – SanDisk Korea (www.sandisk.co.kr, Representative Lee Chang-eun) today signed a sponsorship and volunteer agreement with Hansarang Disabled Infant Center under the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation to support the development of disabled infants and toddlers. Through this agreement, concluded with the aim of supporting the healthy growth of disabled infants and toddlers and promoting a culture of sharing through continuous volunteer activities, SanDisk Korea will proceed with the following: q Supporting matching grant volunteer activities to assist in the holistic development of disabled infants and toddlers q Providing opportunities for regular volunteer activities involving SanDisk Korea full-time employees and their families q Continuous cooperation for the public good through diverse mutual sponsorship and volunteer activities.
SanDisk Korea delivered items for the Hansarang Disabled Infant Center bazaar on the day of the agreement signing in celebration of Christmas. On December 10th and 17th, SanDisk Korea will visit the Hansarang Disabled Infant Center with the theme "Becoming a Happy Santa with SanDisk," where employees will become day-time Santas, hold a Christmas party, and share special moments to give the children a joyful Christmas. In particular, the volunteer hours of all employees participating in the "Becoming a Happy Santa" activity will be matched as sponsorship funds through the SanDisk Foundation and transferred to Hansarang Disabled Infant Center.
SanDisk Korea employees participated in "Habitat for Humanity: Building Homes of Love" last year, conducting approximately 400 hours of volunteer work and delivering sponsorship funds equivalent to 20 million won to local environmental improvement and community development funds in Mapo-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, and Jongno-gu.
Lee Chang-eun, Branch Manager of SanDisk Korea, stated, "I sincerely hope that this volunteer agreement will provide an opportunity to continuously support the healthy growth of disabled infants and toddlers, and I expect that through continuous volunteer activities, all employees will have the opportunity to practice sharing."
