Introduction to the Analog Sensor Portfolio
- Quickly and easily access the latest resources, such as demo videos and technical data
- Used as a communication channel for sharing information among engineers via social media
November 19, 2014 - ams (Country Manager Jong-Deok Lee), a company specializing in high-performance analog ICs and sensors, announced today that it is opening a new 'ams Korea Microsite ( http://ams-sensors.kr)' to enhance user convenience and information accessibility for domestic customers and to strengthen its business in Korea.
This microsite operates separately from the existing official ams Korea website ( http://www.ams.com/kor ). Unlike the ams Korea website, which is the Korean version of the headquarters' website and provides general and comprehensive information about ams to all general users, this microsite was created exclusively for the Korean market and is characterized by being designed with designers and engineers in mind as the primary user base.
The most differentiating feature is that the site is designed to allow engineers to quickly and easily find materials such as product demo videos, technical articles, and application examples, as well as information on the product lines that ams Korea is focusing on in the Korean market. Site visitors can engage in free communication and interaction with other engineers through various social media tools like Twitter and Facebook, and can also share information in real time.
Lee Jong-deok, CEO of ams Korea, stated, “As the automotive and Internet of Things (IoT) industries grow rapidly, there is a growing demand for high-performance sensing technology across a wide range of sectors. As a sensing specialist, ams possesses a broad product line capable of meeting any needs in the automotive, medical, consumer, and industrial markets, along with leading technology and extensive experience to solve various design challenges.” He added, “The ams Korea microsite was designed to facilitate the easy and systematic sharing of diverse information regarding these comprehensive solutions. We hope that many engineers will actively utilize the information on this microsite and engage in lively mutual exchange. Through this, we hope to contribute, even in a small way, to the greater development and innovation achieved by ams’s customers in Korea.”
The ams product family includes sensors, sensor interfaces, power management ICs, and wireless ICs, targeting the consumer, industrial, medical, mobile communications, and automotive markets. Currently, the product portfolio that ams Korea is focusing on includes light sensors, LED driver ICs, gas sensors, NFC/HF RFID, magnetic position sensors (MPS), and active noise cancellation (ANC).
More diverse technical information on the flagship product portfolio can be found on the ams Korea microsite ( http://ams-sensors.kr ).
