December 16, 2014 – QuickLogic Corporation, a leader in ultra-low power Customer Specific Standard Products (CSSP), announced the TAG®-N Wearable Sensor Hub Evaluation Kit. This evaluation kit includes the QuickLogic ArcticLink® 3 S2 ultra-low power programmable sensor hub and algorithms developed in-house by QuickLogic, as well as the ability to connect directly to the Nordic Semiconductor nRF51DK development kit. The nRF51DK kit is an all-in-one multiprotocol development kit for low-power wireless development using Nordic's nRF51822 SoC. OEMs can use this nRF51DK kit to test, evaluate, and develop wearable devices with Bluetooth® Smart capabilities (formerly known as Bluetooth Low Energy).

QuickLogic's ArcticLink 3 S2 CSSP programmable sensor hub solution consumes only 150 microwatts (µW) and easily supports always-on applications on wearable devices. Nordic's ultra-low-power nRF51822 Bluetooth Smart supports wireless communication from wearable devices to host devices. QuickLogic's industry-leading TAG-N development kit, which combines pedometer, gesture, and context algorithms, enables OEMs to significantly reduce product development cycles.
