Anadigics Supplies New Multiband Power Amplifier to Qualcomm
With Anadigics' new power amplifier
Realization of a multi-band module based on Qualcomm's Gobi™ 3000 reference design
June 2, 2011 – ANADIGICS, Inc. (Korea Representative: Kyung-Min Kim), a global leader in Radio Frequency (RF) solutions, announced today that it is supplying the AWT6521 multimode power amplifier (PA) for the Qualcomm Gobi™ 3000 module. The AWT6521 PA supports WCDMA/HSPA+ CDMA/EVDO in the frequency bands used by carriers, providing more choices to carrier networks and giving users the freedom to move without fear of connectivity outages. The Gobi™ 3000 reference design is based on Qualcomm’s MDM6200™ and MDM6600™ chipsets, which support HSPA+ maximum data speeds of 14.4 Mbps.

Jerry Miller, Vice President of Business Development at Anadigics, stated, “The Gobi™ 3000 multimode platform provides high-data-rate wireless capabilities to a wide range of mobile devices. Qualcomm’s selection of Anadigics’ new multi-band power amplifiers for the Gobi™ 3000 platform demonstrates the successful collaboration between the two companies and the superior performance of this product. We look forward to working closely with Qualcomm to continue developing next-generation mobile solutions that redefine the standards for wireless connectivity performance.”
