CSR Provides CD-Quality Audio Solution for Samsung Electronics' New Bluetooth Stereo Headset
CSR's aptX Technology Accelerates Penetration of the Consumer Electronics Market
June 1, 2011 – CSR announced today that its innovative aptX™ Hi-Fi audio compression technology has been adopted in Samsung Electronics’ new HS3000 Bluetooth stereo headset. Through this, Samsung Electronics has introduced a wireless stereo audio Bluetooth headset to the market that delivers CD-quality audio.

Anthony Murray, Senior Vice President of Audio & Consumer Products at CSR, said, “The HS3000 is Samsung Electronics’ first consumer audio product to feature aptX technology, and through this Design Win, we have further strengthened our partnership with Samsung Electronics.” He added, “Furthermore, this Design Win serves as an example demonstrating that CSR’s aptX technology has become a ‘Must Have’ item for improving product sound quality in the wireless audio market, and it has also served as an important stepping stone for CSR.”
