Analog Devices' Quadrature Demodulator with Unprecedented Dynamic Range and Integration Level
ADRF6806/7, integrating a high-performance PLL
Integration of 1 IQ demodulator, 1 VCO, and 2 LDOs
On the 17th, Analog Devices unveiled the ADRF6806 and ADRF6807, quadrature demodulators featuring the industry's highest dynamic range and integration levels. With such outstanding specifications, the new products are suitable for a wide range of broadband communication applications, such as cellular infrastructure and microwave point-to-point radio devices.
The ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 demodulators, the latest products in the ADI RF IC portfolio, operate at 50 MHz to 525 MHz and 700 MHz to 1050 MHz, respectively. Both products include one IQ demodulator with an integrated high-performance PLL, one low-noise voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), and two low-voltage-drop regulators (LDOs).
ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 are the industry's only quadrature demodulators that integrate three RF functions into a single device, reducing board space and Bill of Material (BOM) costs and simplifying design.
The ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 utilize a high-performance mixer core that implements excellent input IP3 and input P1dB, providing very good output noise characteristics over a wide dynamic range. In addition, users can control fractional-N PLL functions, demodulator LO divider functions, multiple optimization functions, and low-power modes through the SPI port, as well as use one external LO.
ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 demodulators are designed using an advanced silicon germanium BiCMOS process and are supplied in a compact 6mm × 6mm LFCSP package.
