Ansys Korea is partnering with the Korea Institute of SMEs and Ventures and Taesung S&E to foster practical talent in the AI semiconductor field. The three organizations plan to jointly operate educational programs that reflect industry demands to enhance the technological capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises and expand the educational foundation for the semiconductor sector.

This agreement was signed at the Korea Institute of SMEs and Startups on April 7 and officially announced on the 8th. The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Mi-ja, President of the Korea Institute of SMEs and Startups; Kim Si-hoe, Managing Director of Ansys Korea; and Shim Jin-wook, CEO of Taesung S&E. The core of the agreement lies in establishing a practical education system for the AI semiconductor field based on public-private cooperation.

The three organizations plan to jointly plan and operate the training curriculum by dividing roles. The Korea Institute of SMEs and Startups will oversee overall training operations, identify needs from SMEs, provide training infrastructure, and recruit trainees. Ansys Korea will provide educational software licenses and technical resources, while Taesung SN will conduct practice-oriented training based on its pool of expert instructors.

Education places more emphasis on content applicable in actual industrial settings rather than simply transmitting theory. The scheduled courses include thermal fluid and structural analysis of semiconductor packages, electronic simulation of semiconductor packages, thermal fluid analysis of semiconductor equipment, and design verification and optimal design using AI. The training will be conducted through a combination of in-person sessions and webinars.

The three institutions plan to begin operating related training courses in earnest starting in 2026 and will also gradually promote specialized technical conferences for technology exchange. They also plan to establish a feedback system to analyze training outcomes and satisfaction levels and incorporate the findings into the following year's courses. The maximum capacity for each course is 30 participants, and the training is free of charge. Applications can be submitted through the Korea Institute of SMEs and Ventures website.

This agreement is significant in that it lowers the educational barrier, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) easier access to the latest technologies in semiconductor design, analysis, and verification. Particular attention is being paid to how this structure, which combines hands-on training with private software support, will yield results in securing skilled personnel and expanding the technological base, especially as the use of AI expands across the entire semiconductor development process.
