We have launched the LCC600 series, a new family of fanless AC-DC power supplies cooled by conduction. This product can provide a full 600W output over a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C. While other power supplies on the market typically reduce their ratings above approximately 55°C, the Artesyn LCC600 supply, with a nominal input of 110 Vac, can maintain a full 600W load capacity at maximum baseplate temperatures above 85°C. It is a particularly cost-effective product for users who require larger capacity or need to allocate a budget for purchasing additional power supplies.

The LCC600 power supply features a general-purpose 90-264 Vac input, with an optional 180-305 Vac input available, allowing for use in virtually any region worldwide without adjustment. The initial models feature a single 28 or 48 Vdc output with a wide adjustment range and a 5 V standby voltage output. Artesyn plans to expand the product family by including models with different voltage outputs. The footprint is 4 x 9 inches, and the height does not exceed 1U (1.57 inches) (228 x 101 x 39.8 mm). Typical efficiency is 93 percent.

The Artesyn LCC600 power supply comes in a fully sealed, rugged case and offers an optional IP65 protection rating to prevent dust and water ingress. Therefore, it is an ideal product for cases where power supply units must be placed in outdoor environments, such as for equipment receiving power, including bulk power for outdoor convenience and power for communication installations like antennas and base station equipment.

Because the absence of a cooling fan reduces dust and noise, this power supply is also suitable for indoor use, such as control consoles, indoor signage, and medical purposes. Since the LCC600 power supply is certified to fully comply with the international EN60601-1 medical safety standard, it can be used for critical equipment out of reach of patients.
