Testo Korea has launched the 'testo 164' wireless data logger, designed for frozen and refrigerated warehouses and cold chain logistics environments. The product is designed to reliably collect temperature and humidity data in locations where establishing Wi-Fi infrastructure is difficult or wireless signals are unstable, and is intended to meet the management demands of food and pharmaceutical storage environments.

Testo Korea announced the launch of a new product on the 2nd. Testo Korea, the Korean subsidiary of the German measuring instrument specialist Testo, supplies temperature, humidity, and pressure measuring instruments and environmental monitoring solutions to domestic industrial sites.

A key feature of the new product is the application of Sub-1GHz wireless communication technology instead of Wi-Fi. Data is transmitted via a dedicated gateway, and the device is designed to collect measurement data even inside refrigeration and freezing facilities, warehouses with many metal structures, or in areas with poor communication coverage.

The collected data is automatically stored on the cloud-based platform 'testo Saveris Cloud'. Users can check the measurement status in real time via PCs, smartphones, tablets, etc., and receive warnings via push notifications, email, text messages, etc., if the set threshold value is exceeded.

The product line consists of three models: the 'testo 164 T1' for temperature measurement, the 'testo 164 H1' for temperature and humidity measurement, and the 'testo 164 DC' for door opening and closing detection. It can be used with WLAN or Ethernet-based gateways and can also be integrated with Testo's environmental monitoring platform for unified operation.

In addition, it offers a battery life of up to 8 years, reducing the burden of battery replacement and maintenance. It also complies with certification standards used in the food and cold chain sectors, such as HACCP, NSF, and EN12830.
