Amidst the increasing complexity of embedded systems and tightening regulations on functional safety and cybersecurity, a venue was set up to share technical strategies for ensuring development productivity and quality.

IAR Korea held the 'IAR Korea Embedded Conference 2026' on July 2.

Experts from companies including IAR, STMicroelectronics, Renesas Korea, Qt Group, SK AX, and VWAY participated in this event to present technology trends and case studies across the entire embedded development lifecycle.

The event covered various topics, including integrated development environments, security, real-time control, software verification, build automation, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

Lee Young-hoo, a manager at IAR Korea, introduced the latest integrated development platform and automation-based development process, and explained ways to improve development efficiency and code reliability.

STMicroelectronics announced an embedded security deployment strategy utilizing STM32-based security solutions. The presentation introduced approaches to respond to strengthening global security regulations, such as the European Union (EU) Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

Renesas Korea shared actuator control technology for physical AI using the RZ/T product family and also introduced application cases of industrial Ethernet for smart manufacturing environments.

The Qt Group showcased methods for code verification and test automation utilizing Coco, a dynamic testing tool. The presentation introduced methods for measuring code coverage and verifying quality in target and host environments.

SK AX presented a case study on efficiently managing multi-variant projects using a PowerShell-based build wrapper. They shared their experience in optimizing CI/CD integration and configuration management while maintaining the existing build environment.

V-Way introduced methods for establishing an ALM-based requirements traceability and change management system. The main content covered strategies to ensure traceability throughout the entire development process to address functional safety and cybersecurity requirements.
