Global digital infrastructure company Equinix is supporting the modernization of cloud network infrastructure for All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest airline. ANA has constructed a centralized cloud network hub based on Equinix Fabric®, reducing network provisioning time by approximately 80%, with a goal of reducing five-year TCO by 30%.

 

On the 10th, Equinix announced that ANA has redesigned its digital infrastructure through Equinix Fabric® and established the foundation for next-generation passenger services including reservation, boarding, customer communication, and flight operation systems.

 

 

ANA, which operates approximately 280 aircraft on more than 200 domestic and international routes, has faced the challenge of increased network complexity and expansion costs as adoption of hybrid and multicloud environments accelerates.

 

Jun Nakazato, Manager of the IT Infrastructure Team, ANA Digital Transformation Division, stated, "Rapid business expansion required a network with unprecedented levels of flexibility. Equinix Fabric® provides the flexible and scalable foundation needed for seamless expansion, and Equinix serves as a strategic partner for global system modernization and future growth, going beyond being a mere vendor."

 

 

The new cloud network hub is expected to deliver effects including △shortened infrastructure provisioning time △improved connectivity efficiency across cloud environments △establishment of foundation for supporting advanced analytics, automation, and AI workloads.
