NSF Appoints Kwon Han-jun as Asia-Pacific Regional Head

Regional Head Kwon assumed office on August 24th and, based at NSF Korea, will oversee operations across the APAC region, leading regional business growth and enhanced operational capabilities. He will also spearhead the implementation of NSF's '2030 Blueprint'.
He holds an MBA in Business Administration from IMD (International Institute for Management Development) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Sogang University and Alma College in the United States.
The standard aims to strengthen drinking water safety and streamline testing and certification systems in the region.
NSF currently serves approximately 40,000 customers across 110 countries and is designated as the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Food Safety and Water Quality.

ETRI Selected as Excellent Intellectual Property Management Institution for Three Consecutive Years
The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) has been selected as an "Excellent Intellectual Property Management Institution" for three consecutive years, earning recognition for its patent creation and utilization capabilities. Last year, through international standard patent licensing in HEVC, LTE, WiFi and other technologies, ETRI achieved annual patent technology licensing fees of 53.5 billion won, marking the largest amount since its establishment. ETRI has formulated its 6th Patent Strategy for 2026-2030, strengthening IP competitiveness throughout the entire cycle from core patent creation to global commercialization, and has set a goal of achieving 100 billion won annually.
