Anadigics Launches New CDMA/WCDMA/LTE PA Series Optimized for SMPS Devices
Implementing HELP™ technology performance in SMPS, DC/DC converters, and cellular devices using Envelope Tracking through Anadigics' new HELP3DC™ PA
ANADIGICS, Inc. (Korea Representative: Kyung-Min Kim), a global leader in radio frequency (RF) and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, today launched a new power amplifier (PA) series featuring its third-generation HELP™ (High-Efficiency-at-Low-Power) technology. The new HELP3DC™ AWT663x PA series is optimized for CDMA, WCDMA/HSPA, and LTE terminals that include Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), DC/DC converters, or Envelope Tracking ICs for PA voltage control. Based on this design, HELP3DC™ PA achieves international average power consumption, extending the battery life of terminals, smartphones, tablets, netbooks, laptops, etc.

Mobile phone designers can reduce average power consumption under certain conditions by lowering the PA supply voltage through SMPS and DC/DC converters. Anadigics' HELP3DC™ PA offers two power modes to achieve high efficiency at high and low RF power levels and supports very low standby current. When the HELP3DC™ PA series is used with an external DC/DC converter, battery power consumption can be reduced in both high-power and low-power modes. Through an Envelope Tracking design that adjusts the PA supply voltage to match the requirements of the RF input signal, the HELP3DC™ PA delivers world-class performance and efficiency.
