Cypress Korea (Country Manager Lim Young-do www.cypress.com ) announced that it will provide the Snapdragon Mobile Development Platform (Snapdragon MDP) for touchscreen development to specific mobile phone manufacturers.

The Snapdragon MDP demonstrates Cypress's popular TrueTouch touchscreen controller and provides a convenient platform for rapidly testing the technology's performance and compatibility within customers' mobile phone form factors. Additionally, the Snapdragon MDP is available through BSQUARE at www.bsquare.com .

Cypress TrueTouch
Flexible TrueTouch solutions enable customers to rapidly develop superior solutions without purchasing turnkey modules. Customers can select touch sensors (glass or film) and LCDs from their preferred partners and develop innovative mechanical designs for surfaces of various thicknesses, ranging from flat to curved surfaces. In addition, TrueTouch devices provide Cypress's superior noise immunity through patented capacitive sensing technology, which enables perfect operation in noisy RF and LCD environments.

Cypress's next-generation high-performance TMA300 multi-touch all-point product family features excellent scan times for true multi-finger touch, an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio of over 80:1 RMS, and low power consumption (low power of 1.3 mA or less).
