Autodesk Strengthens IoT Services and 3D Printing Technology

Autodesk announced on October 12, 2015, that it had signed an acquisition agreement with two companies : SeeControl, a developer of a cloud service platform, and netfabb, a developer of industrial additive design and manufacturing software.
SeeControl, an enterprise IoT cloud service, enables manufacturers and system integrators to connect remote products, objects, and assets, as well as analyze and manage them, creating new service revenue opportunities.
Through this foundation of CControl technology, we plan to continuously support companies' product performance and develop solutions that enable them to explore new service models. Along with IoT-based services, we are also strengthening our leadership in the manufacturing industry through 3D printing technology.
Along with the acquisition of NetFab, we also made a strategic investment decision in FIT Technology Group, NetFab's parent company and a provider of additive manufacturing software and services. The two companies will collaborate to expand the adoption of this additive manufacturing technology.

Currently, more than 80,000 professionals worldwide are using Netfab's 3D printing solutions. Autodesk plans to expand this area through development, sales, and other support. Furthermore, the company plans to integrate Netfab's technology into its product design and additive manufacturing solutions, including Autodesk Fusion 360 and the Spark 3D printing platform.
