Published2011.04.21 17:44 Wolfson's Stereo Audio Hub Technology Adopted by Olympus April 14, 2011 – Wolfson Microelectronics Korea (CEO Ki-Tae Kim, www.wolfsonmicro.com ) announced today that its industry-leading ultra-low power stereo audio hub solution, the WM8962, has been adopted in the latest LS-7 Linear PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) audio recorder from Olympus Imaging Corporation, a global voice recorder manufacturer. The LS-7 PCM audio recorder is a pocket-sized portable device that delivers high-performance audio and provides 96kHz linear PCM recording performance. Wolfson’s WM8962 delivers clean and clear audio performance for portable digital applications. By equipping the LS-7 with Wolfson’s WM8962, it is now possible to provide both clean and clear audio recording performance and long battery life. The WM8962 supports highly flexible analog mixing options, multiple on-board clock generators, high-performance ADCs and DACs, and multiple analog/digital microphones, making it widely applicable to various consumer electronics applications.
