Published2011.04.21 17:44 Wolfson's Stereo Audio Hub Technology Adopted by Olympus April 14, 2011 – Wolfson Microelectronics Korea (CEO Ki-Tae Kim, www.wolfsonmicro.com ) announced today that its industry-leading ultra-low power stereo audio hub solution, the WM8962, has been adopted in the latest LS-7 Linear PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) audio recorder from Olympus Imaging Corporation, a global voice recorder manufacturer. The LS-7 PCM audio recorder is a pocket-sized portable device that delivers high-performance audio and provides 96kHz linear PCM recording performance. Wolfson’s WM8962 delivers clean and clear audio performance for portable digital applications. By equipping the LS-7 with Wolfson’s WM8962, it is now possible to provide both clean and clear audio recording performance and long battery life. Ainex, Colonoscopy AI Software Obtains TÜV SÜD CE MDR Certification
Ainex, a domestic gastrointestinal endoscopy AI specialist company, has become the first in Korea to obtain European Medical Device Regulation (CE MDR) certification for its 'ENAD CADx' AI software. This AI software, which passed conformity assessment by TÜV SÜD, assists clinicians in diagnosis by classifying lesions detected during colonoscopy examinations in real time. This certification enables market entry across the EU, and following passage of the MFDS innovative medical device integrated review in September 2025, Ainex has secured a leading position in Korea's endoscopy AI field.

Dr. Park Sung-ik from ETRI Selected as Emmy Innovator Honoree for U.S. Technology and Engineering Excellence
Dr. Park Sung-ik, Principal Researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), has been selected as an "Emmy Innovator Honoree" in recognition of his development of core transmission technologies for the next-generation terrestrial broadcasting standard ATSC 3.0 and contributions to international standardization. ETRI has contributed to the ATSC 3.0 standard by leading the development of physical layer technologies including Layered Division Multiplexing (LDM), Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO), and Transmitter Identification (TxID), and the developed technologies have also been adopted in Brazil's DTV+ (TV 3.0) standard.
