Stratasys conducts live demonstration of manufacturing 3D printing

3D printing companies leading the revolution in manufacturing are showcasing systems capable of realistic implementation. Among them, Stratus attracted attention at the '2015 Korea Machinery Fair' as it can be utilized not only in metal press machines but also in digital molds.

At this four-day event, Stratasys, a 3D printing and additive manufacturing company, demonstrated injection molds, tooling, and metal press molds produced through 3D printing, introducing to industry professionals the infinite possibilities of 3D printers that can maximize production efficiency and enable small-batch custom manufacturing.

Genesis Tooling: An Introduction to Jigs and Fixtures Used in BMW Production Lines

By utilizing molds made with Stratasys 3D printing materials that combine strong high temperature resistance, excellent toughness, and smoothness, it is possible to produce approximately 10 to 100 parts in a short period of time. In addition, Stratasys’ booth attracted the attention of visitors with exhibits of models designed by Stratasys’ customers, such as Genesis’ tooling, jigs and fixtures used on BMW’s production line, and Champion Motorsport’s availability core.
