Conexant Announces CX92755 Single-Chip Media Processor for Interactive Multimedia Displays
Provides excellent imaging processing capabilities to networked devices
April 5, 2011, Newport Beach, California – Conexant Systems (Country Manager: Kyung-bae Park), a leader in innovative semiconductor solutions for imaging, audio, video, embedded modems, and video surveillance applications, today announced the single-chip media processor CX92755.
This solution is a media processor for internet-connected web devices, multimedia display products such as interactive video displays, and applications such as digital signage, home automation and security, and user interface control. Conexant's second-generation media processor SoC (system-on-chip) solution, the CX92755, supports advanced features including HD video encoding and decoding, video/graphics overlay, image processing, and integrated audio and power control.

About CX92755
The CX92755 is based on the ARM™ Cortex-A8 processor and the NEON™ Single Instruction, Multiple Data (SIMD) engine. This highly integrated SoC also includes an advanced HD video codec and a graphics processor. These features enable multimedia and signal processing algorithms along with advanced user interface application environments, and the integration of L1 and L2 cache memory further enhances system performance. In addition to this, the CX92755 includes a PCI Express™ interface, which further expands peripheral interface options, and DDR3 memory enables high-speed data transfer.
The CX92755 includes speaker and line output terminals, a microphone input terminal, a backlight regulator, a power supply controller, and a touchscreen controller, etc.
