Telit Launches HSPA+ M2M Module for Consumer Electronics Applications Capable of Global Communication

Seoul, March 24, 2011 - Telit Wireless Solutions (CEO Jong-Gap Yoon, www.Telit.com , hereinafter Telit), a company specializing in M2M (Machine-to-machine) communication, announced today that it has launched the HE910, the world's smallest HSPA+ module supporting WCDMA 5 bands.

The HE910 supports all existing WCDMA frequency bands (850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz) in 3G mode and can be used without modification wherever 3G networks are available. In addition, it supports quad-band GPRS and EDGE class 33 ubiquitous 2G networks. With an ultra-compact 795 mm² footprint LGA form factor, it is suitable for applications that process high-capacity multimedia data, such as e-readers and PDAs.

With its wide availability, this product helps customers easily expand their businesses. In particular, for manufacturers supplying products to the global market, using the HE910 module eliminates the need to produce separate versions for each country's frequency. Consequently, end users also benefit from the ability to use portable devices without issues, regardless of frequency, across various countries.

LGA form factor that saves space and costs
The LGA package measures 28.2 x 28.2 x 2.6 mm, occupying a small space within the solution and helping to reduce costs for high-volume applications and portable devices. With its compact form factor, it is suitable for automatic assembly of standard SMT equipment and is resistant to physical shock.

The HE910 has an HSDPA transfer speed of 14.4 Mb/s and an HSUPA transfer speed of 5.7 Mb/s, making it suitable for devices requiring high data throughput, such as mobile computing, automotive telematics, PDAs, e-readers, tablet PCs, and other consumer electronics.
