Ericsson-LG announced that it has launched a Global ICT Platform Business Promotion Team to supply excellent software for Korea's public sector, such as e-government and healthcare, to the global market. To this end, Ericsson-LG established an office for the business promotion team at Nurikim Square in Sangam-dong on November 18.

Ericsson LG established a mid-to-long-term business strategy through approximately six months of preparation for its global ICT platform business starting in May, and based on this, plans to build a foundation and provide services for its global ICT CBI (Cloud, Big Data, IoT) platform business.

Ericsson-LG explained that the background for launching the project task force was to devise a plan to resolve this through large-scale investment and cooperation, viewing the lack of standardized platform-based solutions as the biggest obstacle preventing overseas exports from meeting expectations, despite the high competitiveness of excellent domestic public sector solutions such as e-government.

This project team is led by Park Jung-bae, Head of ICT Business at Ericsson LG, and is operated through the collaboration of about 20 key personnel and experts in various fields, including domestic e-government and healthcare solutions.

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony on November 18 was attended by Yoon Jong-rok, President of the Korea Information and Communication Technology Promotion Agency, and Han Ho-sung, Vice President of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital. On that day, President Yoon stated, “If the efforts of the public and private sectors are combined, our small and medium-sized ICT and software companies will be able to grow more actively into global enterprises.” In addition, Vice President Han Ho-sung stated, “I look forward to Bundang Seoul National University Hospital and Ericsson LG collaborating to produce excellent results in various platform businesses, including IT solutions.”
