Keysight Donates Educational Oscilloscopes to Korea University
Published2015.12.23 11:39Keysight Korea donated 17 units of its 3000T X-Series MSOX3024T oscilloscopes to the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering at Korea University's Sejong Campus on December 22.
The Keysight Infiniivision 3000T X-Series MSOX3024T oscilloscope is the first product among major oscilloscope product lines to offer capacitive touchscreen and Zone trigger functionality. The responsive touch and Zone trigger capabilities enable engineers to analyze and characterize target devices more quickly and easily.
At the donation ceremony, Seon Jung-gyu, Vice President of Korea University's Sejong Campus, stated, "The Department of Electronics and Information Engineering at Korea University aims to nurture talent that will lead the future industrial society where value creation of information is paramount," adding, "Through Keysight's 3000T X-Series oscilloscope, which leads the electronic measurement field, the undergraduate-exclusive laboratory has been transformed into a state-of-the-art experimental facility equipped with modern measurement instruments. Going forward, we plan to utilize this equipment for undergraduate education and faculty research to cultivate outstanding engineers who will drive advances in the nation's electronics and information fields."
Yoon Deok-kwon, CEO of Keysight Korea, stated, "It is no exaggeration to say that the advancement and competitiveness of Korea's science and technology depend on talent development through education," and added, "Keysight Korea plans to continue sharing measurement solutions alongside this donation of 3000T X-Series oscilloscopes and will do our utmost to support and collaborate in nurturing excellent talent at Korea University."

Keysight Releases Additional High-Speed Random Waveform Generator
Keysight Korea has launched a 92-GSa/s, 32-GHz modular instrument in its arbitrary waveform generator product family. With the new high-speed, broadband M8196A arbitrary waveform generator, engineers can generate digital, multi-level (PAM-4, PAM-8, DMT) signal scenarios at 8-bit vertical resolution, and test complex modulation signals and electrical and optical transmission lines at up to 64 GBaud*.

European Patent Applications Surpass 200,000 for the First Time… South Korea Maintains 5th Place, Led by Batteries and Telecommunications
According to the European Patent Office (EPO)'s 'Technology Dashboard 2025', European patent applications last year reached 201,974, surpassing 200,000 for the first time. Korean companies and inventors filed 14,355 applications, representing a 9.5% increase from the previous year and maintaining 5th place by country. Battery, digital communication, and semiconductor technologies led the growth, with Samsung ranking as the top EPO applicant for the second consecutive year and LG reaching 3rd place. The presence of major domestic cities such as Seoul, Suwon, and Yongin was also confirmed. It was also revealed that Korea's European patent strategy is expanding beyond individual technologies to span the entire industry.

SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK Telecom announced that it applied an AI-based network operation system for the first time at a large-scale K-pop concert held in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul on March 21st, managing communication quality throughout the event. Mobile data usage during the three hours before and after the concert reached 12.15TB, approximately doubling compared to the same time slot the previous weekend. SK Telecom monitored traffic using the AI system 'A-One' in five-minute and 50-meter units to respond to potential overload situations, while also operating temporary communication facilities and on-site personnel in parallel. This case is interpreted as confirmation of the practical applicability of AI-based autonomous network operation in an environment where demand from dense events and foreign users increases simultaneously.
